Sue has returned to the USA after six months overseas mentally renewed and happier than ever! She is living in northern California, working as a bookseller and writing more novels.

Her next book, Spy Game, is already garnering wonderful reviews…Publisher’s Weekly calls it “a fast-paced romantic romp!”

Sue’s article, “Close at Hand,” will appear in the February 2008 issue of the Romance Writers’ Report, a trade publication.

 

A Blast from the Past

2006: Sue has sold an espionage romance, Spy Game, to Five Star Expressions. Keep checking back for news about the cover and publishing date.

She is spending this winter in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and will return to the states in the spring.

There's good news and bad news…

The bad news first… Sue and her husband of eleven years have broken up, and she joins all their friends in wishing Bruce well.

The good news: Sue is taking this opportunity to realize a long-held dream of living in Europe. In September, she will move overseas. She plans to spend some weeks reacquainting herself with her British relatives, then will spend the winter in southern Italy.

She will also attend the third annual Women's Fiction Festival in southern Italy.

Walk Like a Man was published in March 2006 and garnered excellent reviews as well as an additional print run.

 


9/05 Sue's hockey team, the Vista Volcanoes, again won their
league championship. At right wing, she contributed an assist to the 4-3 win.

 

January 2005. . . Sue’s book, Engaged to the Sheik, was released by Silhouette Romance.

Sue co-authored an article, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting…to Hire an Agent,” in the January issue of the Romance Writer’s Report, the monthly periodical of the Romance Writers of America.

Sue slated to chat with a group of Australian writers on April 7 at 6 p.m. PDT.

July 2004... Sue spoke to members of the Romance Writers of America at their national conference in Dallas, Texas. Her topic was writer's contests.

February 14. 2004... Sue appeared with twenty other authors at a Valentine’s Day Author Appreciation event at the Barnes and Noble store in Jack London Square, Oakland, California.

January 2004... Sue’s His Baby, Her Heart is published in French in Canada under the title Un Bebe Pour La Vie. Check it out at Amazon.

His Baby, Her Heart was published in hardcover in Britain in September 2003 and in paperback two months later by Mills and Boon…this was Sue’s first hardcover release.

September 2003... Sue's In the Sheikh's Arms is published in Australia.

Those of you who have met Sue know that she has rarely met food she didn't like. She loves to play in the kitchen, and she has contributed three original recipes to a cookbook created by The Romance Club. The cookbook contains over 150 recipes contributed by romance authors. Sue submitted three recipes, including the tabouleh salad that Rayhan prepared for Cami in In the Sheik's Arms and a version of the Szechuan vegetable recipe that Serenity and Matt enjoyed in The Ranger and the Rescue. August 2003... Sue was invited to participate in a Silhouette Romance continuity series. She will write Book Four of the six book series, and her book will be published in January 2005.

May 2-4, 2003... Sue appeared at the Celebrate Romance 2003 conference in Sacramento, CA.

April 12, 2003... Sue participated in the Wal-Mart/Sam's Club fight for literacy by making two appearances in the Sacramento area.

March 22, 2003... The Silicon Valley Chapter of the Romance Writers of America hosted Sue at their March chapter meeting. Her workshop topic was "Wake Up, Little Newbie: Tips and Tricks for the Almost There and Newly Published." The SVC website is at http://home.earthlink.net/~svrwa/ .

March 16-22, 2003... Sue conducted a question and answer session on a bulletin board on the eHarlequin website, http://www.eharlequin.com The topic was "What I like about you: heroines we'd like to be."

March 13, 2003... Sue appeared on BookCrazy Radio, available only via the internet at http://www.bookcrazy.net.

mid-March, 2003... Publication of Sue's latest Silhouette Romance, In the Sheik's Arms.

January 2003...Sue's Dear Reader letter appeared at the website of the Silhouette Romance authors, http://www.silromanceauthors.com.

December, 2002... Sue's opinion piece on professional jealousy was published in the December issue of the Romance Writers Report, a magazine published by the Romance Writers of America.

November 5, 2002... A red letter day for Sue, who made her debut as a left winger for the She-Devils, a local ice hockey team. She got a shot on goal, which surprised her; she missed, which didn't :)

October 23-27, 2002... Romantic Times Convention, Circus Circus Hotel, Reno, Nevada.

October 11, 2002... Sue was invited by the Coeur du Bois chapter of the RWA, located in Boise, Idaho, to give a workshop at their conference. She spoke on "A Sense of Place: Setting in the Romance Novel" and signed her books.

September 11, 2002... Sierra Writers Club Nevada County Library, Nevada City, CA.

July 18-20, 2002... Sue gave three workshops and a roundtable to authors in attendance at the RWA National Conference.

July 17, 2002... Sue, in the company of hundreds of other romance authors, signed her books at the Romance Writers of America's annual booksigning at their conference, held this year in Denver, CO. The booksigning was a benefit for literacy.

April 29, 2002... Sue appeared as the guest of the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Roseville, CA; the group discussed her most recent release, The Ranger and the Rescue.

April 13, 2002... Sue and several other authors conducted roundtable discussions about writing for the San Francisco Area Romance Writers of America.

April 3, 2002... Sue was a guest lecturer at Grant High School District's Adult Education class on "Writing for Publication." She spoke to an enthusiastic audience of over 50 students. The lecture will be distributed as an internet class and as a CD.

March 25, 2002... Sue's August 2001Silhouette Romance, His Baby, Her Heart, was named by the Romance Writers of America as a finalist in their RITA contest. This prestigious contest is considered by many to be the "Oscars" of romance writing.

February 16, 2002... Sue spoke to the Sacramento chapter of the California Writers Club.

February 12, 2002... she was interviewed on Panic Attack, a Davis, CA, radio program.

February 12, 2002... her third book, The Ranger and the Rescue, was published to rave reviews.

February 10, 2002... she was the guest on "Erskine Overnight," a nationally syndicated radio show, which is repeated on February 17.

February 9, 2002... Sue spoke to an appreciative audience at the Carmichael Library, Sacramento, CA, about romance, then signed books at a local Waldenbook store.

February 5, 2002...The Ranger and the Rescue was "Today's Pick" at eHarlequin.com, the official site of Harlequin Books.

February 2, 2002... a landmark day for Sue; she played goaltender at the Northern California Women's Hockey League's "Give Hockey a Try" program in Belmont, CA.
